COMPARE

Rynex vs Tidio

Tidio is the more mature product: a full customer-service suite — live chat, a multichannel inbox, Flows automation — with a genuinely capable AI agent (Lyro) added on top. Rynex is an AI shopping agent first, built to recommend products, fill carts and attribute revenue, with an AI-visibility layer beside it. A human can still take over any conversation from our Support Inbox — what we do not have is Tidio’s multichannel breadth.

Disclosure: We build Rynex. This is a vendor-written comparison — we have kept it honest by using Tidio’s own pricing page and public review data, linking sources, and saying plainly where Tidio is the better choice. Several stores genuinely should pick Tidio; we say which ones below.

WHO SHOULD PICK WHAT

Most of this decision is one question: what is your bottleneck?

These two tools are not the same product with different logos. Below is the honest split — the cases where Tidio is the right answer come first.

Choose Tidio if

  • You need a deep multichannel support suite.

A real omnichannel inbox spanning email, Instagram and WhatsApp, with years of shared-team workflow built around it. Rynex has a Support Inbox with unlimited human takeover, routing and canned responses — but it is on-site only, and WhatsApp and Instagram are roadmap for us.

  • Social proof is your risk filter.

4.8 across 1,250 Shopify reviews, roughly 1,900 G2 reviews, 70k+ WordPress installs. Rynex’s review base is a fraction of that — if maturity is what de-risks the decision, Tidio wins it outright.

  • You want one vendor for support and selling.

Tidio is a complete customer-service suite with an AI agent inside it. Rynex is the selling half done deeply, plus AI visibility — if consolidating on a single support platform matters more than either of those, Tidio is the shorter path.

  • You want a visual automation builder.

Flows drives proactive campaigns beyond the AI conversation. A visual flow builder is roadmap for us, not a shipped feature.

Choose Rynex if

  • Selling is the whole product.

Variant-aware add-to-cart on Shopify, WooCommerce and custom storefronts, with every conversation attributed to orders. The dashboard answers “how much revenue did the assistant influence?”, not “how many chats did we have?”.

  • You want pricing you can predict.

One meter, a recurring free tier of 100 conversations every month, no cutoffs and no branding fee. Going over your quota never switches the assistant off and never charges anything extra.

  • You sell outside the flagship languages.

Tidio markets 45+ languages, but its help centre’s list of officially supported Lyro reply languages is much shorter — around a dozen at our last check, and we could not verify the current list directly. Rynex follows the shopper’s language automatically.

  • You care about being recommended by AI, not just answering in chat.

The GEO layer tracks whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini recommend your store, benchmarks competitors, and fixes the technical layer (llms.txt, structured data, content signals). Tidio has nothing in this category.

PRICING MATH

How the two bills are actually built.

Not a price war — a difference in what each product charges you for. Read the model first; the worked example only makes sense after it.

Tidio: three meters

Starter is $24.17/month with 100 billable conversations; Growth starts at $49.17; Plus starts at $300 plus monthly usage. Lyro — the AI — is metered separately: the free and Starter tiers include 50 Lyro conversations as a one-time allowance, and as a standalone add-on Lyro starts at $32.50/month for 50 conversations, about $0.65 each at entry. Flows bills on a third meter (visitors). Removing "Powered by Tidio" is another $16.67/month. Tidio does not publish an official overage price.

Rynex: one meter

Monthly AI conversations, and nothing else. Free is 100 conversations every month, recurring — not a one-time allowance. Starter is $39 for 1,000 conversations, Growth $119 for 5,000, Scale $279 for 15,000. Hitting a limit never cuts the assistant off mid-month, and there is no branding fee. Seats are not a second meter either: unlimited teammates, no per-seat fees on every plan, with unlimited human takeover from the Support Inbox.

Worked example

A store doing 1,000 AI conversations a month

On Rynex

Exactly the Starter quota: $39/month, one line on the invoice. Nothing switches off at the limit and no branding fee is added.

On Tidio

At Tidio’s own entry rate of about $0.65 per Lyro conversation, the AI alone extrapolates to several hundred dollars a month before the base plan — and per third-party pricing analyses, Lyro’s self-serve tiers stop around the 1,000-conversation mark, past which you are in custom-plan territory.

What this does and does not prove: That extrapolation is ours, not Tidio’s: they publish no rate at this volume, and a per-unit entry price rarely holds at scale. What the comparison does show is the inversion — Tidio prices AI as a premium add-on to support software, Rynex prices AI as the product. If most of your chats are handled by humans with a little AI on top, that inversion runs the other way and Tidio is the cheaper tool.

THE HONEST PART

What Rynex doesn’t do (today).

Short list, no asterisks. If one of these is a hard requirement, the comparison above already answered your question and the answer was not us.

  • No omnichannel inbox. A human can take over any conversation from the Support Inbox, but WhatsApp and Instagram are roadmap scope, not shipped channels.
  • No visual flow builder for proactive campaigns — also roadmap.
  • No years-deep support suite around the inbox. Takeover, routing, canned responses and order actions are all there, but Tidio has had a decade to build out the workflows around them.
  • A small review base. We are a young product, and no amount of copy fixes that this year.

THE THIRD OPTION

Neither tool tracks whether ChatGPT recommends your store.

Rynex and Tidio both start working after a shopper lands on your site. The question upstream of that — do ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini mention you at all when someone asks for what you sell? — is a different product category, and the audit answers it without an account.

FAQ

Questions merchants actually ask us about Tidio.

At the entry point they look similar (Tidio Starter $24.17/mo, Rynex Starter $39/mo). The economics diverge with AI volume: Tidio meters Lyro AI conversations separately (from $32.50/month for 50 — about $0.65 per conversation at entry), while Rynex’s $39 Starter covers 1,000 conversations on a single meter. For AI-heavy stores Rynex is typically far cheaper; for stores that mainly want live chat with a little AI, Tidio can be.
